Emilia Wilton-Godberfforde

Emilia Wilton-Godberfforde is a research assistant and web designer for the project. Emilia works on French theatre in the early modern period. Her monograph 'Mendacity and the Figure of the Liar in Seventeenth-Century French Comedy' is due to appear with Ashgate. Her new project examines suicide in seventeenth-century drama. She has published articles on Molière, Rotrou and Tristan L'Hermite and is currently working on a chapter on Bernard Lamy and Pierre Nicole for an edited collection entitled 'Guilty Pleasures: Theater, Piety and Morality in Seventeenth-Century France'. She is also contributing an article on Mairet to the special edition on Suicide for the 'European Drama and Performance Studies' series with Garnier.
